Dr. Coltharp further described that at MSSU, it is a university-wide requirement that online courses incorporate a discussion board. Dr. Coltharp chooses to use Yellowdig because it "much more fun and beneficial than the traditional discussion board." By using Yellowdig, Dr. Coltharp saw a level of engagement and understanding that traditional discussion boards simply lack the element of connection to activate these positive sentiments in students and professors.

Yellowdig is a great platform for any academic discipline. From Mathematics to English to Engineering to Political Science, there is something for everyone! Dr. Coltharp's use of Yellowdig encouraged her students to connect more while also providing them with a more solid understanding of the material than a traditional discussion board.
