This privacy policy will explain how Six Deg Inc. (“Yellowdig”) uses the personal data we collect from you when you use our website.

Yellowdig Privacy Statement

The Yellowdig team is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy statement applies to personal data collected by Yellowdig through use of Yellowdig services (the “Service” or “Services”), including the Yellowdig Engage Web Application (the “Platform”) as well as Yellowdig’s supporting website (the “Site”) and interactive documentation site (the “Knowledge Base”).

What data do we collect?

Yellowdig collects the following forms of personal data:
 

 

Contact Data: Contact Data includes email address, first and last name (optional), user role, time zone and other contact information that we may collect through your administration of the Services and use of the Services by you and others. The Contact Data is collected from the Learning Management System (or Single Sign-On Integration), or from user sign-up forms, to provide students access to the correct course communities.

 

User Data: User Data is all the data, including all text, sound, video, software or image files that you provide, or are provided on your behalf, to us through your use of the Service. We make no claim of ownership in your User Data. Except as provided in this privacy statement or described in your agreements, we only use User Data to provide and enhance the Services. Yellowdig does not share your User Data with any third parties, such as advertisers, or with anybody else except in limited circumstances described in the Sharing Your Information section below.

 

Usage Data: Usage data is data which includes: aggregated quantitative information about user activity on the platform. We may use statistical data, analytics, trends and usage information derived from your use of the Services (“Usage Data”). Some ways we use the usage data include operating, improving and personalizing the Services and our offerings, as well as other Yellowdig products and services, and to provide reports to you or others in your organization. We do not disclose usage data outside of Yellowdig in a way which is identifiable to your organization or users in your Yellowdig Network.


Support Data: Support Data is the information we collect when you submit a support request or run an automated troubleshooter, including information about hardware, software, and other details related to the support incident, such as: contact or authentication information, information about the condition of the computer and the application when the fault occurred and during diagnostics, system and registry data about software installations and hardware configurations, and error-tracking files.

How do we collect your data?

The majority of data collected by Yellowdig is provided directly by users while using the Services. Additionally Yellowdig may collect data when users voluntarily complete a customer survey or provide feedback on the Site through the Services. We also collect data and process data when you access the Site. We automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and set   cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.” 

When configured, Yellowdig will collect user information as required by third party payment processors to facilitate user access to the Service. 

How will we use your data?

 

Contact Data: If you choose to provide Yellowdig with email addresses or other Contact Data of people inside or outside your organization, we will use that information to enable you and other users to invite those people to join the appropriate Service. Subject to your contact preferences, we may also use Contact Data to contact you regarding information and offers about the Service such as notifications you’ve chosen to receive about activity in your Yellowdig communities or to request your feedback. If you do not wish to receive these communications, you can adjust these in the in-platform email notification preferences for information on how to stop them and configure other notification preferences.

 

User Data: Yellowdig  makes no claim of ownership of your User Data. Except as provided in this privacy statement or described in your agreements, we only use User Data to provide and enhance the Services. Yellowdig does not share your User Data with third parties, such as advertisers, or with anybody else except in circumstances described in the Sharing Your Information section below.

 

Support Data: Support may be provided through phone, e-mail, or online chat. We may use Remote Access (RA), with your permission, to temporarily navigate your desktop. Phone conversations, online chat sessions, or RA sessions with support professionals may be recorded and/or monitored. For RA, you may also access the recording after your session. For Online Chat or RA, you may end a session at any time of your choosing. We use Support Data in the same way as we use your other personal information, as described in this privacy statement. Additionally, we use it to resolve your support incident and for training purposes. We occasionally contract with other companies to provide services (such as customer support, data management, and technical infrastructure services) on our behalf. We may provide these companies with access to your information where necessary for their engagement. These companies are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information and are prohibited from using it for any purpose other than that for which they are engaged by Yellowdig.


Ways we do not use your data:

We will not disclose User Data or Contact Data (“your information”) outside of Yellowdig or its controlled subsidiaries and affiliates except as you direct, or as described in your agreement(s) or this privacy statement.We don’t share any of your information with advertisers.We will not disclose your information to a third party (including law enforcement, other government entity, or civil litigant; excluding our subcontractors) except as you direct or unless required by law. Should a third party contact Yellowdig with a request for your information, we will attempt to redirect the third party to request the data directly from you. As part of that process, we may provide your basic contact information to the third party. If legally compelled to disclose your information to a third party, we will use commercially reasonable efforts to notify you in advance of a disclosure unless legally prohibited.

 

How do we store your data? 

Yellowdig securely stores your data across several cloud data storage tools within the us-west-2 Amazon Web Services (AWS) region, or regional deployment where applicable. All user data remains in the cloud, within a private virtual network, with the exception of off-site hardware backups which are supported as part of Yellowdig’s business continuity protocol.Yellowdig will keep your personal and user-generated data for a retention window of 5 years. Once this time period has expired the data is  moved into an encrypted archive format that is not readily accessible by business processes .Yellowdig is a multi-tenant cloud application where all users share the same hosted infrastructure with logical security controls implemented in the application code.  

Marketing

We do not share your information for marketing purposes with any third parties. We may occasionally contact you about company events, company updates, and product enhancements. You have the right at any time to stop Yellowdig from contacting you for marketing purposes or giving your data to other members of the Six Deg Inc., group.

What are your data protection rights?

Yellowdig would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

The right to access: You have the right to request Yellowdig for copies of your personal data. We may charge you a small fee for this service.

The right to rectification: You have the right to request that Yellowdig correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request Yellowdig to complete information you believe is incomplete.

The right to erasure: You have the right to request that Yellowdig erase your personal data, under certain conditions. Data deletion requests must be submitted to support@yellowdig.com. Please allow up to 30 days for completion of the request.

The right to restrict processing: You have the right to request that Yellowdig restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions. 

The right to object to processing: You have the right to object to Yellowdig's processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to data portability: You have the right to request that Yellowdig transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.

This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or complete a lead form on yellowdig.co (the “Site”).

 

PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We use the Lead Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including but not limited to processing your information requests and information session attendance confirmation confirmations).  Additionally, we use this Lead Information to:

Communicate with you;

  • Provide information about Yellowdig such as case studies, information sessions and product updates

  • Share information about topics related to Yellowdig such as student engagement and retention

 

We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns). It may also be used in advertising/retargeting campaigns that we believe may be of interest to you.

 

We  use Google Analytics and Google Advertising Solutions to help us reach and understand  our audiences, and do not disaggregate anonymized data. We use social media channels such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter to help us reach and understand our audiences, and do not disaggregate anonymized data. SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.
